JSON-LD

Definition. JSON-LD is the JSON-based format for embedding structured data in a page, placed inside a script tag. It is the format Google recommends, because it sits separately from the visible markup and is far easier to generate and maintain than inline alternatives.

Because it is decoupled from the HTML, JSON-LD is also easy to get wrong: nothing stops you describing content the page does not contain, which is exactly what the guidelines prohibit.

Multiple blocks on one page are valid, though a single @graph containing every entity is cleaner and lets nodes reference each other by @id.
