SEO stack cost calculator
Tick the tools you use or are considering, and see the real monthly and annual cost, which capabilities you are paying for twice, and whether a single platform would cover the same ground for less.
Most teams underestimate their SEO stack because they price tools one at a time. Select yours below to see the combined monthly cost, the capability gaps nobody is covering, the overlaps you are paying for twice, and any single tool in our dataset that matches your coverage for less money.

How to use it
- Select every tool you actually pay for Include the ones you forgot: the writer, the plugin licence, the rank tracker nobody opens. Forgotten subscriptions are where stack cost hides.
- Check the overlap warning If three tools all do keyword research, you are paying three times for one capability. Overlap is the single largest source of waste in an SEO stack.
- Look at the gaps A gap is only a problem if it matters to your work. A stack with no backlink tool is fine if you do not do link building.
- Compare against the single-tool suggestions Consolidation is not always right, but if one platform covers your capabilities for half the price, the burden of proof shifts to the stack.
How the numbers work
Everything here runs in JavaScript in your browser. No input is sent anywhere, nothing is stored, and there is no account, no email gate and no export limit. The maths is deliberately simple so you can check it: where a benchmark is used, the source is named on the page rather than hidden behind a "based on industry data" claim.
Where this calculator uses published research, it uses these: the position-CTR meta-analysis from First Page Sage (updated May 2025), the 34.5% AI Overview click reduction measured by Ahrefs across 300,000 keywords, and Pew Research Center's click-behaviour study. Tool prices come from vendor pricing pages read on 2 August 2026. All of them are averages, and averages are a starting point, not a forecast: your own Search Console data beats every benchmark on this page.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a typical SEO stack cost?
A solo founder's stack usually lands between $50 and $200 a month. A small in-house team runs $300 to $700. An agency with client reporting and AI-visibility tracking is frequently above $1,000. The spread is driven by seats and AI-visibility coverage more than by anything else.
Is one all-in-one tool cheaper than a stack?
Often on price, rarely on quality across every module. The right question is which capability is business-critical for you: pay best-of-breed for that one and accept adequate elsewhere.
Why is AI visibility tracking so expensive?
Because each tracked prompt means running a real query against a commercial model on a schedule, and every engine multiplies that cost. That is why almost every vendor gates engines by tier or sells them as add-ons.
